Thank you for this video. You are a lifesaver. Couldn't figure why my window wouldn't lock. The first solution was what fixed my problem. Somehow the top part of the window moved down a little bit and prevented my window from locking.

Wtf are you talking about? Every fiberglass windows are screwed and glued. You make no sense saying EVERY window is welded and it is no big deal when people are paying over $2k a window for a screwed and glue leaky fiberglass windows. Now 5 or so years later after getting screwed and glued fiberglass windows costing over $2k a windows $60k a house full of widows that are leaking in the corners because fiberglass windows are screwed and glued in the corners instead of welded which fiberglass cannot be welded.

I’m furious. I told my contractor I wanted good windows and he gave me air filled crap with a .44 U factor. He was mad at me when I told him to not install and he better order the better ones or I’m not paying. Might have to go to court.

We had these windows installed in our house and it was a huge mistake. The viewing area (ie the glass) is much smaller than our 25 year old windows by a couple inches on all sides and the vinyl is much bigger. They told us that was to make them more energy efficient, but that is far from the truth. These windows make our house colder and some part of the vinyl can be 15 degrees colder than the wall temperature. I do not think the vinyl in these windows has any insulation. If the glass took up more of the window they would be a lot better Do not get these if you live in a cold environment or you will regret them like we do!

What do you do when it takes moderate force to get the bottom half all the way down, but then top half (which had been all the way up) suddenly jerks down once when the bottom half hits the bottom, ensuring that both halves will not be fully closed simultaneously?

Holy expletive! I thought the top portion of these windows was fixed. 7 years later... thank you! One of my two major energy efficiency issues fixed.

The furnace doesn't put out moisture it puts out heat and with the cold air on the outside that cools the glass the heat on the inside warms the cold glass creating condensation... I think.. I dunno... What I do know is that my fknnn bedroom windows are always soaking wet and there is water on the window still is it still or sill again I dunno apparently only new windows have weep holes not these old style windows so I guess it has to be the seals are all devoured by the years of seasonal weather there not even double glass landlords are slumlords these days

Having served this industry for over fifty years don’t talk about the insulation advantage in money terms on saving heat .nobody puts an identification label sticker to tell its argon gas filled .?….
